Introducing Our New CellMaker Photobioreactor

Friday 25th November 2016, 11:00am

Great excitement at Cellexus HQ with the first run of our new CellMaker photobioreactor that utilises a light source to cultivate phototrophic microorganisms.

These organisms use photosynthesis to generate biomass from light and carbon dioxide and include plants, mosses, macroalgae, microalgae, cyanobacteria and purple bacteria.

The CellMaker 8L photobioreactor has built in LED lighting adjustable for intensity and wavelength. pH and Dissolved Oxygen (DO) control available.

High Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density (PPFD) measures the number of photosynthetically active photons that fall on a given surface each second.
